For over 37 years, Boxer Metal has specialized exclusively in BMW motorcycles. From vintage Airheads and Slash 2 conversions to sidecar outfits, adventure bikes, restorations, and one-of-a-kind custom builds, every project starts with the same goal: creating a motorcycle that reflects its owner's vision.

Unlike many custom motorcycle shops, Boxer Metal focuses almost entirely on BMW motorcycles. This specialization allows us to offer a level of experience, craftsmanship, and technical knowledge that comes from decades of working with BMW boxer-powered machines.

Founded by Chris Canterbury in Chico, California, Boxer Metal combines traditional fabrication techniques with modern technology including CAD design, CNC manufacturing, and 3D prototyping. The result is custom BMW motorcycles that are designed to be ridden, enjoyed, and admired for years to come. Boxer Metal has been recognized by BMW Motorrad and featured in numerous custom motorcycle publications for innovative BMW builds, sidecars, and performance projects.
