1980 BMW R100
CHECK OUT THIS BUILD ON Pipeburn!
Chris was flown to Southern California to work on a customers sidecar & during that time he got a chance to ride one of his bikes up to the Rock Store (well know destination for motorcycles & exotic cars). It was a pieced together bits-a-bike that looked like a striped down BMW Scrambler or G/S. He fell in love with the bike & told himself when I get back to the shop I want to build something similar for myself!
Looking around the shop he found a 21" front wheel off of a BMW R80G/S, a 1980 rolling chassis, & a spare motor .....& decided he would build a cool street scrambler out of it. Like any project it started in the shop someone ends up buying it before it's finished.
He received a phone call from a gentleman in Guatemala. He wanted an older BMW that had "the cojones to stand up to the bad roads and crazy drivers & be comfortable two up". So much for his personal scrambler project.
